Go to store.oracle.com, search on 8.1.7, scroll down to the bottom of the page, looking for the Intel Solaris version. Select it and come away $40 lighter with a CDROM copy of 8.1.7. As an alternative, rumor has it that if you buy the latest Solaris 8 01/01 version ($75) on the www.sun.com web site, you get 8.1.7 at no additional charge (What my sales rep used to refer to as "free" - remember, _nothing_ is free in this world).
