Recovery Manager Question

Ok, got the damn thing working finally and did a full cold backup to test it.

My question is that the files that RMAN creates that hold the backup info appear on the primary databases machine in the root directory, drive D:\.

I was under the impression that RMAN would place these files on the machine that the recovery manager database lives, or my backup machine.

If it's possible, how do I get it to do that?
