I have only set up this configuration for initial testing, and can only confirm that it works.

My scalability testing of Oracle with Microsoft Transaction Server has been performed using the Microsoft ODBC Driver for Oracle via the OLE DB Provider for ODBC, as the MS OLE DB Provider for Oracle produced a total communications failure in less than 15 minutes under load.

My future efforts will focus on COM+ with both Oracle and SQL Server, as I consider (Microsoft) MTS to be a dead end due to scalability issues that cannot be overcome. Without implementing pooled objects and manual transaction enlistment,  MTS (even with SQL Server) is not suitable for large scale systems - especially in combination with Oracle.
