I just bought a new Oracle book named "Oracle DBA Tips & Techniques - Real World Approaches to Administering Oracle Databases". It's an Oracle Press book, ISBN 0072122455. This is absolutely one of the best Oracle books I have read! On page 40 is a very good method for cloning a database. The section is titled "How to clone a database from an existing database".

I would recommend the book to all Oracle DBAs.
