Shared pool area overflow ??

Hello ev'ryone,

My customer is still running Oracle 7.2.3 (smoothly so far) on AIX 4.2.1. When running a batch program which retrieve a quite huge number of records, I get an error message ORA-4031 saying that the system  was unable to allocate a certain amount of memory (sorry I forgot the correct msg label). Increasing the db_shared_pool in my initSID.ora doesn't change anything to my problem. Anyone has got an idea ?
