help for installing oracle8i on solaris intel

I am installing oracle 8i(intel version) on solaris intel. and got following error messages.

error in determine protocols.

and also error in invoking target ioracle of makefile

/u01/app/oracle/8.1.5/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk

when linking oracle spatial, linking Authentication and Encryption and linking oracle intermedia text.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
