I have installed O8.04 client on a Win98 workstation. Near the very end
of the install, orainst fails with a page fault.
However, all the O8 DBA tools are installed ok. Whenever I run PLUS80W
it crashes with, "caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at
0000:00000015." just when it should be connecting to the specified DB.
From the DOS command prompt for tnsping80 I get the same exact result.
Is this a winsock problem? How to fix?
