Since nobody has really answered your post. I will give my opinion on the DBA OCP exams.
PL/SQL is the hardest, Backup & Recovery is the easiest. Network Admin is difficult only in the fact that there are so many questions on a small subject (though in real life it causes a lot of problems). I went for the OCP without any Oracle experience but lots of RDBMS experience. I passed all of the exams on the first go and was able to get a job as a DBA within 3 weeks of my last exam at about double my old salary.
It is my experience that while there are a lot of DBA's out there. There are very few who are true experts. I find that with the DBA's I work with, I am able to contribute positively to my work and I do not feel like a newbie.
The OCP basically says that you know the material that Oracle provides for its DBA courses.
My advice would be to monitor the oracle usenet groups and keep track of difficult questions. Also collect as many scripts off of the web as possible. Study them and apply them at your work.

Good Luck
