hi,
Do you have chacked the read and write-Permissions on UNIX? Note, that Oracle wants to write and read the files with the user, starts the instance!
For example: If you start and stop your instance with the "oracle"-User on Solaris, the Oracle-User need to have read and write-Permision on the directory you set in the utl_file_dir-Parameter!
