Installation Problems with Patch 8.0.5.2.2

Is it normal, to have problems during the installation of the oracle patch 8.0.5.2.2 for NT?
I had to rename several files (dlls) before I could sucessfully install this patch.
After the patch was running I did not find it using select * from v$version. The result is

Oracle8 Release 8.0.5.2.1 - Production
PL/SQL Release 8.0.5.2.0 - Production
CORE Version 4.0.5.0.0 - Production
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.0.5.0.0 - Production NLSRTL Version 3.3.2.0.0 - Production

Is that correct?
