Hello,


i installed an Oracle 8.0.6 on AIX system, Escala1 - 128MB RAM, and had
terrible performance problems in file access (creating a datafile took a lot
of time and the machine started to swap .. ok, the server is not so fast,
but i think it's not normal to have to wait 45 minutes to get a 1GB
datafile).


Has anyone had similar problems and is there something to do??
