Here's what I'm thinking (please let me know if this is wrong ! )

Oracle8i Personal Edition is a full-featured database for the desktop pc, for users (like developers) who need compatibility with the entire Oracle8i suite of products

Oracle8i Lite is a "small footprint" database targeted at the mobile market (laptops, hand helds and PDAs)
