ORACLE, JDBC pool of connections

Hi -

Does ORACLE support a pool of connections with JDBC? Or, restated, when connecting to ORACLE, is it possible to obtain 1 connection froma pool of connections - something like JavaExchange (www.javaexchange.com)? If so, how can the functionality be implemented? Is it a part of regular ORACLE 8.0.x?

Any information is *greatly* appreciated on the matter :)
