Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> can old ORA_NLS* directories be removed after migrations?
Having migrated through a number of versions of Oracle (specifically 7.3.2,
7.3.3, 8.0.3 and currently 8.0.4) we have a few NLS related environment
variables
ORA_NLS ORA_NLS32 ORA_NLS33
we also have the following directories full of software
$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls/admin/data
$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/NLS_723/admin/data
$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/NLS_733/admin/data
$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/NLS_803/admin/data
$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/NLS_804/admin/data
The oracle owner only appears to have
ORA_NLS33=$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls/admin/data
are these other variables and directories unnecessary?
