Is this a custom app or an Oracle App? Once we got some deadlock on acutal Oracle proprietary procedures and they told us to kick inittrans on the table up
and it seemed to resolve the problem. There are a lot of possibilities here so it may
not be your answer, generally I think most people would regard it as a malfunction in
the application regardless, and should be fixed at the root of it in the application code.
