I guess what the other posts were saying is that 30,000 users qualifies as a 'big' database project, Oracle or otherwise. Now if you are talking about 30,000 potential web users, say 50 at a time, then maybe a big NT box can meet your needs. However, if you're really talking about 30,000 concurrent users, well NT is not your solution. You'll need big backend server's, probably in some sort of parallel configuration (UNIX for sure). You'll need Oracle Advanced Networking and Connection Manger to handle the myriad of possible connections. Also you will probably need Oracle Security manager because 30000 users posses a strong security challenge, and you'll need Oracle Name servers, ..........
You've got a big job in front of you (sounds fun actually), so some consulting might t be a good idea.
