I just tried to establish a testing environment but I can't start my Oracle database as a NT service. The services start normaly and I don't receive error messages or log entries. But If I try to connect I receive : Instance not available. If I use the startup command from svrmgrl everything works perfect.

BTW: I created the services with ORADIM80 -

BTW2: I'm using Oracle 8.0.4.0.0 and Windows 2000 RC 2

Regards
