I have an Oracle 8.0.5 database running on Solaris 2.6. When I do a "ps -ef | grep java", I found hte following:

$ ps -ef | grep java
  oracle 1765 1764 0 Oct 06 ?
0:09 /u01/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/network/jre11/bin/../bin/sparc/green_ threads/java

Can anyone tell me what this process does? Or Can I just kill this process?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Tony
