[Q]: Calculating Oracle database i/o per second

I was wondering if anyone has a solution for calculating a database i/o (reads/writes) per second, or per minute. I would like to plot this over time and I am wondering how to get this data.

I know v$filestat has statistics for phyreads/phywrites, but I need some concept of a timer.
