Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Immediate help needed on stress testing database
We want to stress test our production-like oracle database to simulate
1500 users hitting the database with different kinds of DML
(Select, insert, update and delete) operations. Can somebody please
provide help with how this can be achieved.
The environment:
HP-UX 11 running 64-bit Unix (4GB RAM and 4 CPUs) and Oracle 8i 32-bit.
Can shell scripts be set up say, to fire concurrent SQL sessions connecting to the database with a fictitious user(s) and doing different DML operations. Or, can something like PERL be used to automate some process like this. Please help ASAP. Thanks in advance. (Got to get something set up and running before Jan.8)
