Question 1) yes, as both SIDs will end up in /etc/oratab or
/var/opt/oracle/oratab
Question 2) Not much, the upgrade is only a minor upgrade (database format
doesn't change) and scripts are included in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin to
downgrade. Basically it's only replacing the sw and running 2 datadictionary
upgrade scripts.
