Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Problem to connect to Oracle 8.1.5 - Listener Problem
Hi!
Sometimes I've problems to connect to my Oracle8.1.5 db. From the
listener I
get the messages:
06-DEC-99 09:34:41 *
(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=orcl)(CID=(PROGRAM=httpd.exe)(HOST=Windows NT
PC)(USER=Administrator))) *
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=10.2.242.3)(PORT=4213)) * establish * orcl
*
12500
TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
This happens when I try to connect with a Ora 7.3.2-Client.

TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
This happens when I try to connect this Thin-JDBC 8.1.6 SDK.
Our Software is a web-software so allmost all of our connections are
established at startup - at
the same time.
Our db is on WindowsNT4.0 Server (1,300 MB Memory). We have about 650
Connections. Is there a possibility that it
is a recource problem?
Thanks in advance for any help
