Hi,

I am trying to find out how much unused space exists in the shared_pool, so, after doing an

alter session set events 'immediate trace name heapdump level 2';

Is is the "unpinned space " value at the end that I am interested in ??

What do the following values mean at the end of the dump ?

Unpinned space = 299596 rcr=126 trn=462 PERMANENT CHUNKS:

  Chunk 8016c0f4 sz=     4156    perm      "perm           "  alo=4156
  Chunk 8000d008 sz=   533616    perm      "perm           "  alo=533616
Permanent space    =   537772

Any help appreciated.
