hi,
first u need to go thru the installation manual which includes 1.pre-installation steps --setting up variables at operating system level (ex creating dba group, oracle home, oracle sid and operating

system parameters to run oracle)
2.installation steps --this will be successful if pre installation is correct.
3. post installation steps (ex. run root.sh if oracle is in unix)

it is not difficult. just follow the steps in the installation manual. all the best
