installing intermedia for oracle 8.1.5

hello,

i installed intermdia in a weird way, that is without usising oracle installer because i take off X binaries from my server (i'm working on solaris 7 ultra 5)

For that, i launched several scripts I found on $ORACLE_HOME/install which came from another SID.
aftter modifying the former SID to the new one,these scripts were launched following these steps:
SIDdrsys.sh
SIDcontext.sh
ordinst.sh
then i execute ctxsrv:
ctxsrv -user ctxsys/ctxsys -logfile /mypath -sqltrace &

my questions are:
could somebody tell me if the steps I used is correct? is there another script i should to execute too? how can i put ctxsrv process as the deamon process?
