Restricting range of ports used by Oracle

I am using Oracle 8.0.5 on Solaris and would like to find a way to
restrict the range of ports used by Oracle. One solution I have seen
suggests that I should use ndd but that would restrict the port range
for all processes on the machine which is *not* what I want. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.
