ORA-1041 with Story Server ....

This is wrt to Oracle 8.0.5 on Solaris. We are having a StoryServer Cleint 4.2 connected Oracle 8.0.. When a user tries to change the password in his GUI the
storyserver clients which interacts with oracle gets the following error.

There is error ORA-1041. As per oracle docs this is a bug that should be reported
to Oracle Corp.

Has anyone encountered such issues before. Any pointers hint. The database was migrated from another machine to the present machine using cold backup , ftp, and renaming datafile paths .

Is the error at the cleint end or the instance end. The client ( story server ) uses net8 to connect.
