        You will need to check with Oracle for specific hardware related requirements - but all type that I am aware of require more main memory. Not only that if you wish to make use of the newer features that become available that will tend to use more memory as well. (although you could come across a particular setup change that makes the use of SGA, for instance, more efficient; thus saving memory. However I wouldn't plan on that basis.

    Look not only to main memory but also disk space, all the binaries will be larger. Also the System tablespace needs to be sized higher, if it does not have plenty of current headroom.

    Short answer, assume bigger, get hardware migration details from Oracle.
