Unicode support in Oracle 8.0.5

Hi all,

Does Oracle 8.0.5 (Sparc, Solaris 2.6) support the Unicode characterset ?

I would like to be able to convert from WE8ISO8859P1 to Unicode and back by using the SQL function convert() e.g.

update mytable set surname=convert(surname, 'we8iso8859p1', 'Unicode');
