Hi,
I've just installed Oracle enterprise manager 1.3.6 and I've played a bit with it. I tried to run some jobs and set some events but for some reason, the jobs get scheduled but stay this way, they are never shown as running or completed.
What is strange is that I went to $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent and I found the job output (Files with a .jou extension) but it looks like the agent NEVER communicated back with the console to tell it the job was complete (and send the job output as well)
What could be wrong ?
Also, the events are not working (I set an event for database up/down) that was supposed to send me an e-mail, after having bounced the DB a couple of times, I never received an e-mail (My email is configured OK as the "Test" button works OK)
What is strange also, is that if I go to the "Oracle daemon manager", only one node shows in the monitored nodes (I've got two machines running an agent tought...)
Also, in the configuration parametersthe listening adresse shows as "not found". I don't think it is ok. Should there be something in tnsnames.ora "declaring" the agent ?
Any help would be appreciated.
