Limit on ODBC command size ?

The following concerns using an ODBC connection to Oracle 8.0.5, using the Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle, version 2.573.2927.00, running from Windows NT 4.0.

When issuing a 'big' SQL command through the ODBC connection, it seems to get truncated - it looks like at 512 bytes. The command is valid - it executes without problem through a direct database connection (e.g. SQL*Plus). Is this a configuration issue or is it inherent within the MS ODBC driver for Oracle ? Any suggestions to solve/work around this ?
