database is slow after 3 days

When our oracle database first comes up, everything runs smoothly.
After about 3 days, it really starts to slow down. I am having to shutdown
the instance every 3 days to improve performance.



This is Oracle 7.3 on Sco Unix 5.5



We have over 300M of RAM, and have 2 instances: test and prod.



Any help will be appreciated.
