You can go to the Oracle technical site. Go to documentation, choose your
version of the Oracle server and look at the book called "Reference". There
you will find a description of each V$ view. In addition go to a bookstore
and look at some of the O'Reilly and Oracle Press books - particularly those
on tuning. Different volumes discuss different views.
