Remote OCI Calls?

Does anyone know if a program using OCI calls can connect to
a 2nd machine where Oracle8 would be running? What would
be the OCI API call?



For example, this would be from Unix to Unix, but Oracle
would only be running on one machine.


This would be for development purposes only.



I'm using this example to understand the flexibility of
OCI across more than one machine.
