ORA-00439

I have just installed Oracle8 Personal Edition, Verison 8.0.4.0.0 and have upgraded from PO7.
The SQL*Plus version is 8.0.4.0.0
My first try out for creating a object data type resulted in the ORA-00439 error stating that the feature is not activated. How can it be activated ?
