Hi all.

I need to recover/restore/fix a database Oracle 8.0.5 - this database was in a machine that has a crash in one of the harddrives.

I have many backups, but the only one that have a important dat was be made with a OS command (TAR).

When I restore these files, and try to open the database, I receive the message 1207 - controlfile older than datafiles. This happens because the controlfile was backed up by the OS before the datafiles.

I do not want to recover a especific point. The only thing that I want is a way to open the database - even read-only - for a full logical export.

This is possible ? How I can start Oracle without the integrity checks ? I have a event for this ?
