This type of info is stored in USER_TAB_COLUMNS view in dictionary in
Oracle. You can do DESCRIBE USER_TAB_COLUMNS (at the Sql*Plus prompt) to
see the structure of that view. And then you could come up with a query
(or stored proc) that returns all the scale/precision info into your
app.
Is there a better way, anybody?
