If you had read the followup posts in this thread you will have seen that this point had already been established. FP98, Hotdog and Drumbeat are a few programs that beat Word when developing web pages.
My whole point of this HTML in Word was merely trying to show Nuno that the latest versions of Word do have more features than older versions including the Avery Wizard which latches on to Word and allows you to view, edit and print on your favorite Avery product. There are over 2 dozen additional utilities Microsoft have published for Word since its general release. Whether you choose to use these features is up to you.
And more features usually mean bigger size. I can't think of a single modern/popular application that has actually gone down in size as new versions appear.
