Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on disk usage and how to spot what it being accessed on 7.3.2.3 running on Solaris 2.6
During the middle of the day, the database performance takes something
of a dive. I have run the usual scripts to check the library cache
ratios etc, and nothing it too out of the ordinary.
I got the UNIX guy to do some digging and he came up with the stats
that the /ORACLE partition, where the Server software is installed, is
getting heavily read-accesses.
My query is this: I was under the impression that it was only the
datafiles/redologs (all on other partitions) which would be accessed by
an application. Are there files in the /ORACLE partition (or where
ever Server software is installed) which is read a lot by application?
It is Finacials which is using the database.
Any advice very welcome.
Best Regards
