Install hangs on hp-ux 10.20

Installing Oracle 8.0.4 on a hp/ux 10.20. The installation hangs when creating the database's catalogs and files. The end of the install log reads:

(( OIERR-SYSTEM: egrep '^ORA-'
/usr/local/oracle0/app/oracle/admin/srcdb/creat
e/crdbsrcdb.lst ))

• SUCCESS: The 'CREATE DATABASE' statement for the srcdb database succeed ed. no 'ORA-' errors appear in the file:
  /usr/local/oracle0/app/oracle/admin/srcdb/create/crdbsrcdb.lst.
  
• Creating database srcdb's catalogs and files (this will take a while)

This has been running for almost a day now.
