SYSDATE Client versus Server

We are currently formulating test plans for Y2K testing and need to roll forward SYSDATE into year 2000 - obviously we can do this at the server end, but that will potentially impact a number of other users.

Is is possible to point Oracle Developer/2000 runtimes to a client side clock? If it is, then we can simply dedicate a PC at the client end and swap dates without impacting others
