Oracle Export - Integrity of Dump File

Does anyone know of any means or ulitity which I can use to verify the
integrity of EXPORT dump files - Other than performing an IMPORT?



I checked in V7.x but have found no help - there is a db_verify to verify
datafiles but not sure in Oracle8.
