SGA sizing on NCR4380

I have a NCR4380 (UNIX 03.02) dedicated to running a Oracle 7.3.4.2 server. Users connect via SQL*NET from another NCR machine. It normally copes very well with 500 users with an SGA size of 150MB. If I increase the SGA to 500MB the CPU becomes 100% usr active by the time 100+ users have logged in. (Nb. the Server has 2.5GB of memory available, so theres no paging/swapping issues.)

Any ideas ? Received on Thu Oct 08 1998 - 09:53:59 CDT
