FORTE P/A -VMS,ORACLE 4-5 yeras exp.
A Progressive Company in Louisiana is looking for a programmer analyst with backround in Forte development software. Operating Dec Vms and the principle development tool is Forte specifically Forte release 3 and there is a couple of other tools which if the consultant had them it would be a plus these tools include a modeling tool called Select and in addition there is a framework tool because in this particular development environment they establish templates which is called Scaffold.
The major skill required is Forte. The Company is re-developing a new version of it's elctronic toll systems . Consultant would be working from very loose business specifications, they have the existing system but the way they have been doing it is basically through design reviews it's all in the code and documented but they do not have heavy program specifications. Consultant will design and modify applications in a test mode. Heavy user contact so strong communications skills are a must . They are far along in the life cycle and took focus of it and now they must bring focus back on to it. They have to find somebody that is reasonable expereinced because it's too late to nurture new people along. They want to insure ongoing maintanance staff but they are not there yet.
Experience Required:
Somebody working independantly would be ideal so someone with 4-5 yrs
of experience with possible some object oriented backround. Ideal
backround would be someone who has worked on VMS and has worked in
relational database specifically oracle RDB and Forte release 3.
Any consultant interested will be contacted right away.
