ORACLE7 AND ORACLE8 TOGETHER

Any impacts of running ORACLE7 and ORACLE8 together on the
same machine? I'm wanting to install ORACLE8 and test
awhile while my production database remains up and alive
on ORACLE 7.x.x. Compatibility issues give me access
to only the one machine where our production database resides. 



Is this possible to do?
