Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Runaway wrbroker on OWAS on Solaris after install
Hi,
can anyone provide some insight into this problem.
I just installed
Oracle web Application Server 3.0.1.8.0
on Solaris 2.5.1
(SunOS 5.5.1 Generic_103640-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1)
using Oracle's Listener, SQL*net V2
to connect to Oracle 7.3.4 server on Digital Unix 4.0.
I have 256 MB RAM with roughly 90MB real memory free
and 268MB swap free.
Per Oracle Support, I've got the right Solaris patches
and their bug572023, 597950 and 617799 patches for the known problem below.
After I do owsctl start for wrb, admin and www, I can connect to a test Hello_world type plsql procedure.
However, at some point fairly soon,
the wrbroker process will get up to 90% CPU usage on my top cmd.
This does not hang the OWAS--yet,
but at some point, esp. if I pause in reloading the hello_world url,
the OWAS will take minutes to reply and I get "Internal Error".
It is essentially useless then and I need to restart OWAS.
Actually, wrbroker will run away even w/o any browser hits and bascially hang.
Thanks in advance,
