Oracle8 vs DB2/UDB EE version 5 performance

We're currently evaluating both Oracle8 and DB2/UDB EE version 5 to be
used as the database server for a Metadata Management System (small
transactions with large decision support like queries).  Has anyone done
any performance testing with these 2 products?  Know of any white papers
or such that discuss the performance of one or both of these products?
