hi folks:
i'm new on installing Oracle, i just installed oracle 7.3 on NT4
server w/ SP3.
i created a new service and database named PROD and PROD_DB, and able to
connect to it after i modified
registery key ORACLE_SID to PROD and leave the Host String blank when i
tried to connect with SQL*Plus. if i put PROD in host string field, it
gives "ERROR: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name" msg. I
tried to use SQL*net Easy Config, it gives a different msg complaining
about not founding the service on remote destination, or something like
that.
How do i correct this?
