Simple OCI application not linking

Hello, call me lazy but I don't have time to wade through 2000+ articles to attempt to find this answer.

I a student in a summer job working for the forest service. We use Oracle 7.3 and IBM AIX.

I'm attempting to make a simple application that parses a file and and inserts information into a database. I've been able to get the program to compile but errors when trying to link. I believe this has to do with not finding the libraries need for linking. I can't seem to find a complete list of the names of the libraries and header files needed for these tasks. If someone could send me a list of the libraries and header files needed for a C/C++ application or point me in the right direction on where to find them it would greatly be appreciated.
