VOL_NAME instead of drive letter on ORA/NT?

On Personal Oracle for NT v7.3.3 (and/or Oracle Workgroup for NT Server) when creating a tablespace, is it possible to specify the volume name instead of the drive letter for the datafile? E.g. DATAFILE='ORA_VOL\sales\sales.db'. If so, is there any special syntax or any special character combination required, such as //ORA_VOL?

Thanks,
